A trip to Peru

We are heading to Peru in about a week. I will be documenting the trip here.

I lived in Peru  for three months back in 1976. I was working in an Iron mine near Nazca, in Marcona:

I did make it to Machu Picchu that summer. I hitch hiked from Nazca to Arequipa and then took a train from Arequipa to Cuzco, then the train to Machu Picchu. I then took a bus back across the Andes from Cuzco to Nazca, and a colletivo from Nazca to San Juan (where I was living)

San Juan was right on the coast, and it was an interesting summer:

This should be an interesting trip.
